HS-ABS  for  Motorcycles

2.  WORKING PRINCIPLE

During the emergency braking, the oil pressure pass through the HS-ABS till just under the lock point pressure, and then the stopper of HS-ABS automatically shuts off to prevent excessive oil pressure which induces locking of the wheel.

          * Brake Oil Pressure Curves

(1) Non-ABS : Oil pressure generated by Master cylinder transmits to Wheel cylinder, which results in wheel locking.
(2) Lock Point : Wheel cylinder starts locking at this pressure.
(3) HS-ABS : Maximum allowable oil pressure before wheel begins locking.
(4) Electronic ABS : Wheel locks and unlocks alternatively on the lock point.

 

3.  PERFORMANCE DATA

The electronic ABS for four-wheeled cars regulates the slip ratio of the wheels by braking and unbraking alternatively in order to prevent an automobiles' wheels from locking, so that the lateral stability of the vehicles and braking distance are improved in emergency braking situation. However even very short duration typically 30-100 mili-seconds of wheel locking may cause motorcycles to lose its lateral stability during the braking modulation of electronic ABS and to lead to vibration of the braking lever which may disconcert the driver. HS-ABS is a perfect solution of such a dummy electronic ABS and guarantees riders' safety with easy installation and lower prices.
